TNT Express

Customer Profile
TNT Express, one of the world’s largest express delivery companies, moves 4.7 million parcels, documents and pieces of freight every week to more than 200 countries in Europe, China, South America, the Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.

The Challenge
TNT Express had a time-consuming manual procedure in place for 40 percent of customer payments received into their accounts receivable area. To allocate these inbound payments, employees were required to get up from their desks to search through printed, non-organized bundles of remittances. It was a slow and difficult task to locate the right remittance.

The Recall™ Solution
The solution involved a comprehensive consultation and the development of an improved workflow process, including digital document management, scanning, indexing, archiving and Web-based access/retrieval.

Functional Details
All faxed, mailed and emailed remittances are scanned, indexed and directly uploaded into ReView® Powered by OnBase®. Documents can be viewed and searched digitally by employees from their desks using Application Enabler, which allows the team to continue working within the familiar SAP applications.

  • Workflow improvements – Deep consultative efforts led to the development of an improved workflow with familiar applications. Improvements made throughout the pilot phase allowed for a smooth transition and quick employee adoption. 
  • Efficiency – Implemented a user-friendly solution that enabled TNT to streamline their business processes appropriately. 
  • Customer satisfaction – Customized solution developed to meet TNT’s needs and fit within their existing accounts receivable process. Flexible and dynamic solution that meets the organization’s changing requirements, along with the ability to expand as business needs evolve and grow. 
  • Sustainability – Digital solution resulted in reductions in paper and printing, supporting TNT’s corporate environmental responsibility objectives. TNT Express continues to explore further applications for Recall’s business process expertise and the ReView product to streamline its processes.
